**What is Microneedling and how does it work?** Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, creates tiny microchannels in the skin to stimulate natural collagen and elastin production. This helps regenerate the skin, improving firmness, texture and radiance for a more youthful appearance. At AB Skincare Clinic, every treatment is tailored to your skin concerns using carefully selected professional products. Your treatment finishes with a cooling collagen-boosting masque, targeted serum and hydrating SPF, leaving your skin plump, refreshed and glowing while results continue to improve over the following weeks. **Who is Microneedling for?** Microneedling is ideal for treating acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles. It can also reduce pores, improve pigmentation, photo-ageing, sun damage, and enhance overall skin tone and texture. Using a professional microneedling pen allows me to target specific concerns, contour facial features, enhance lip fullness and create a subtle lifting effect. **Who should not have Microneedling?** Microneedling is not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you have taken prescribed Roaccutane, you must be off the medication for at least 12 months before treatment. Please contact me before booking. Clients with active acne or pigmentation may benefit more from a course of Chemical Peels. **Do I need a consultation beforehand?** A consultation isn't essential, as I assess your skin at the start of every appointment and tailor the treatment to your needs. If you're unsure which treatment is best, I recommend booking a free consultation. **How long will it take to see results?** Results are visible immediately and continue to improve over the following 4 weeks. **How many treatments will I need?** For the best long-term results, maintenance treatments are recommended every 6 weeks. Package options are available for added savings. **How should I care for my skin before / after Microneedling?** ♡ Avoid Retinol and AHA/BHA products for 7 days before and after treatment. ♡ No waxing, bleaching or hair removal on the area for 14 days before and after. ♡ Cold sores must be fully healed for at least 2 weeks. ♡ Avoid excessive sun exposure for 2 weeks after treatment and wear SPF30+ daily. ♡ Oral retinoids (Roaccutane) must be stopped for at least 12 months before treatment. ♡ Avoid strenuous exercise, sweating and makeup for 24 hours after treatment.
