Microneedling
Description:
What is Microneedling and how does it work?
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy works by causing small trauma to the skin through by creating microchannels, this will boost your natural collagen production and elastin to regenerate your skin. Resulting in a more youthful appearance.
At AB Skincare clinic I choose specific products to target your personal skin concerns, as well as mixing modalities to give your individual skin the best possible results! I will always finish the treatment with a cooling, collagen-boosting masque treatment followed by a perfected post-treatment serum and of course a hydrating SPF. Sit back and watch your skin tighten and plump and the texture continue to improve in the weeks following your treatment as the skin heals.
Who is Microneedling for?
Microneedling is most commonly used to treat acne scarring and to significantly reduce fine lines and wrinkles. If either of these are your main skin concern then this treatment is the one for you! Other benefits: reduce pore size -reduce pigmentation, photo ageing and sun damage -improve the skin's overall texture, tone and colour By using a professional microneedling pen during your treatment I am able to target your specific areas of concern, contour cheekbones, plump lips and give that “mini facelift” effect that all of my clients love so much.
Who should not have Microneedling?
You can not have the Microneedling treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you have been taking prescribed Roaccutane please contact me before booking your treatment, you must be off this medication for 12months prior to Microneedling.
Microneedling is suitable for many skin types, however, if your main concerns are active acne/breakouts or pigmentation I would lean more towards a package of Chemical Peels.
Do I need a consultation beforehand?
It is not necessary to come in for a consultation prior to your Dermaplaning treatment, I will always assess the skin at the start of your treatment and tailor the treatment to your skins individual needs. If you do however, have any specific skin concerns you wish to target and are unsure which treatment is best for you then I would advise booking in for a free of charge consultation first.
How long will it take to see results?
Results are immediate. However these results continue to improve over the following 4 weeks.
How many treatments will I need?
Optimal results require regular maintenance treatments. Microneedling maintenance treatments are recommended every 6 weeks. Take a look at my package offers for huge savings.
