Do I need a consultation beforehand?
It is not necessary to book a consultation for this treatment, your initial appointment allows time for this prior to treatment.
How long will it take to see results?
Results are instant. Your lips will appear dark to begin with, please be patient as the colour will fade by up to 40% within the first two weeks.
How long will results last?
The pigment will fade naturally over time, lasting up to three years with proper care. However I recommend reduced colour boost appointments every 12-18months for optimal results.
Before/ aftercare for semi-permanent lip blush?
♡ Avoid drinking coffee, taking ibuprofen/aspirin(unless medically advised) & alcohol from 48hours before your treatment.
♡ If you have/had botox or facial fillers you must leave 21 days between injectables and your appointment.
♡ Avoid usage of AHA/BHA & retinols for 1 week prior & post your appointments, healthy skin will retain the best results.
♡ Any cold sores must be 2 weeks clear.
♡ It is ideal to leave a minimum of 4 weeks between your treatment and travelling to OR from a hot destination.
♡ Aftercare will be provided.
Is there any downtime afterwards?
Immediately following treatment, you may experience some swelling and tenderness. Your lips will start a peeling cycle that can last up to 10 days.
